JANUARY

• Check all your doors to be sure they and their locks are working properly.

• Clean window wells around basement windows to prevent leaks

MARCH

• Change batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.

• Check to see if you have any roof damage.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.
• Open the vents leading to your crawl space when the temperature rises above 40F.

APRIL

• Re-caulk any windows and door seams that appear to need repair.
• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.
• Remove tree limbs that may touch the roof or walls of your home.

MAY

• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.
• Oil the blades on your lawnmower.

JUNE

• Do you need to paint the outside of your house?
• Change the filters for your HVAC.
• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.

JULY

• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.
• Power wash your patio, deck and driveway.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.
• Reseal you patio, deck or driveway.

AUGUST

• Clean the traps on your faucets to insure good water pressure.
• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.
• Clean out the traps under your sinks to improve drain flow.

SEPTEMBER

• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.

OCTOBER

• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.
• Have your lawnmower professionally serviced and prepped for winter storage.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.
• Close the vents leading to your crawl space and make sure they work. Close the vents when the temperature drops below 40F.

NOVEMBER

• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.

DECEMBER

• Inspect your attic as you get out your holiday decorations.
• Change the filters for your HVAC.
• Check your gutters to make sure they are not blocked.
